We are a team of researchers helping create health policy based on evidence and innovation to improve access to care for marginalized Filipino communities.

History of PFHDI

  • 1987

    Intercare Research Foundation, Inc., a non-stock and non-profit organization, was registered with the SEC on November 24, 1987. It was established to do scientific research in the areas of health services, food and nutrition and social services and welfare.

  • 1997

    The Foundation received a 15K sqm land donation from MERALCO subject to the condition that the Foundation shall cause the entire donated property to be available as a site of a medical hospital. The Foundation ensured that the hospital to be built shall be at least a tertiary care hospital facility that accords with the state-of-the-art, world-class standards.
